02/18/1942      First meeting of Coeur d Alene Firefighters Local 710.

·        Meeting called to order by H.C, Koehler president of Spokane firefighters Local 29

·        Local 710 officers elected.

 

03/16/1942      Motion passed that union membership would be limited to “paid men in the Fire Dept”.

 

06/22/1942      Motion passed to allow members of the Bay view Naval Base Fire Dept to join 710.

·        Many BNBFD members were sworn in over the next few meetings.

·        Few regularly attend meetings.

·        No BNBFD members noted in minutes or roll call by 1945.

 

02/26/1955      Last documented, “regular” meeting of IAFF Local 710.

 

02/7/1960        Special Meeting of 710 “to discuss the present and future status of the Local 710”.

10/30/1963      Union Organization Meeting (first meeting to begin process to charter 1494).

11/02/1963      “Special Meeting: to fill out forms”.

 

12/26/1963      “Presentation of New Charter Local No. 1494”

·        First official meeting of Local 1494.

·        Officers elected.

 

  04/04/2007       Local 1494 membership votes to reacquire original 710 local number.

 

  06/14/2007       Local 1494 is reassigned it’s original local number by the International Association of Fire Fighters

                           and is once again Local 710
